adventure | Vicki Boutin

Hi everyone, i have a fun new Layout to share.
Last weekend was the big fair, creativation … where you there? Have you meet Vicki? I am from Germany, i was not there… I only saw pictures and videos and I’m really excited about the new collection from Vicki, Color Koleidoscope!
But let´s talk about my project; i started this one with some hearts and some handstitching.
This is my third try for this page, i failed so big at the first times but; never give up! you can make it!

I had a look into all of the patterned papers from the „Field Notes“ Collection and decided to go with green and peach/pink tones. I also grabbed some matching DieCuts from the Ephemera and the Journaling Pack. I really love how this is looking so far.

I used one of the {ink spill} stencils and Gesso for my background. I wanted to have some messy bumpy texture on it… i accidentally dropped the Gesso pot in the wet Gesso on the paper and it left a messy circle stamped image! And i really liked it, so i went ahead and stamped some more messy Gesso circles on to the Foundation Paper. I also added some big splatters to it and i am SO in love with how it turned out! It took some time to dry…

I wanted to have the paper layers really pop off from the page and so i grabbed the black Watercolor and worked on my background. I used a lot of water and a few layers of the black.
I love how messy this is looking! The more water i added so more the black turned into a grey – because of that i added some dark splatters at the end!

Look how awesome this is looking! I know black is not usable for everyone, but i like it! It totally helps to let the colors really pop!
Once everything was dry i placed my stacks of paper back to the background. I used some staples to hold the papers together and some hot glue to get them on the textured background. This is also giving some extra dimension and i am still able to curl up the edges, if i want to!

I really love how this is looking! The cute picture shows my middle one… he just had some chocolate and his tiny face is smeared with it, so adorable!

Here you can see how the black is working against the colors. It´s giving some shadow and it helps to let the other colors stand out. I hope you´ll try some black on your next project?!

Hi everyone, welcome to a new BlogHop with the awesome Alexandra Renke Design Team… we´re saying HELLO and WELCOME 2019!
The store is back, online and filled with awesome new stuff, you should have a look!
We want to share our AR calendars with you… Alexandra is sending out some awesome „KreativBoxen“ each month and there was a stunning 2019 calendar in the december box and i will use this baby for all my creative projects… my ideas and my VID´s (very important dates) for the DesignTeams. I really love to sketch out some layouts and make some plans for upcoming things. There is so much room on each week, just awesome!

Here you can see my calendar for 2019 and some stunning planner („Lieblingstag“ and „Life is beautiful„) stamps! I used one of the new papers for my cover but i will focus on a second paper too… they are so beautiful designed and easy to use.

This is my second cover page… i used a Alphabet Die from Alexandra Renke, some watercolors, thickers from Paige Evans and some enamel shapes from my stash. The flowers are fussy cutted from one of the new papers. I LOVE this paper, i need 10 more sheets of it!

I used three rings for my binding and i really love to add some envelopes to my pages. Just for some random notes or some snippets i want to keep… pictures… you know, all kind of pretty stuff 😉

I used some of the new stamps here, but also some lettering and writing. I really love to mix my fonts…

…and here you can see how i love to sketch out my next layouts, or some random ideas. Here i added the things i wanted to use on the page! sometimes it is helpful and sometimes i am just making something different…

together forever | vicki boutin

Hi everyone, i have a new Layout to share. I started this Layout with a quote i found on Pinterest: together forver, never apart, maybe in distance, but never at heart.
I really like this one and so i have made my own stencil with it.
The picture for this project shows two of my boys and the kids from my sister, 14 yrs. ago… look how cute they are!

I added some texture paste through the stencil and once that was dry i grabbed some Art Crayons… i picked green and blue! I turned the photo into a black and white one because of all the colors on it; now i can work with every color i want! I also had a look into the Journaling {DieCuts} Pack for some things i wanted to use.

I added a lot of water to the background (Foundation Paper with Gesso) but also watered the Art Crayons down so that i can easily smudge them around with a piece of plastic. I love this „kissing“ technique! A brush were used for splattering and to dilute/apply the color on the paper.

Once that was all dry i decided to bring in some more color to the mix. I grabbed a darker blue Art Crayon, the big stencil brush and the heart stencil from the {ink spill} pack to add some hearts. I really like how the darker shade is looking. I already realized that it was very hard to read the text on the background and i started to think about a way to solve that problem… but first i worked on the layering around and under my photo.

There are some patterned papers behind my picture, but also some Journaling ephemera pieces. Because of the black & white photo i grabbed some watercolor stickers and placed them between and underneath the layers. I really like how this is looking. One of the patterned papers were used for fussy cutting; i love the matching tiny hearts!

Here you can see what i´ve made with the letters… i grabbed a Sketch Pen in black, outlined each of the letters and have regretted it immediately! I thought i have messed this page up and i could start again. I looked at it and maybe some white acrylic paint could help?! Yes!

I am so happy that i used the white acrylic paint on top of the letters. I like how it is looking now

Weihnachten 2018 | Alexandra Renke

hi everyone, i have a new layout… i made this just for fun and i love how it turned out!
i used some awesome Alexandra Renke papers and a cute Die. I fussy cut some of the designs out and used them as my elements on my page. The background was made with a cutfile from Paige Evans and a lot of colors… Magicals from Lindy´s and a ShimmerzPaints Vibez.

i had so much fun with the background here, the magical powders are so much fun and i really need more of the colors!

Love the cutfile and i really like how the hearts are looking with the dots on the right and the white on the left. I was thinking about a colored paper for the open spots but because of all the other colors i decided to go with white.

Joy, Hope & Love | Paige Evans

Hi everyone, I have my final Layout for the Paige Evans & Silhouette Team to share. I started this one with the scalloped Christmas tree, I just re-sized it and made it a bit smaller, and white Cardstock. I knew I wanted to use the patterned Paper with all the colorful stripes on it (Whimsical Paper No.16) for the open spots from the CutFile. My idea was to create a colorful Christmas tree with tone on tone elements.

It took some time to back all of the open spots on the tree, but it was totally worth the time! I love how it turned out; a bright and happy Christmas tree. I also wanted to add some mixed media to my white cardstock and so I looked into my Shimmerz Paints and grabbed all of the matching colors and started to create the same order of colors like I have on my tree. Some gold splatters were added for the Christmas bling!

Once that was dry I started to look in the Whimsical ephemera DieCuts and all of the Stickers. I grabbed some Puffy Stickers, some Chipboard Stickers and some Paper DieCuts. But I also fussy cut out a word from the 2×2 Paper Pad. I also used some stickers from the Sticker Book; they are perfect for the final touches! I tried to use color on color and this is so much fun.

The Mini Foam Alphas were used for some words and my title; I placed them also by color on top of the tree.  Rub Ons were placed on the picture itself and the last thing I have added was one of the big Tassel Paper Clips and a paper strip on the right side from the white cardstock.

Thanks you so much for the great time I had on your team, Paige! I love you and your stunning designs!
