hallo ocean | alexandra renke

hi everyone, i have a new layout for you… this one includes some handstitching on Alexandra Renke paper from the June KreativBox, paper quilling again, such a great effect! I used a wavey cutfile from the silhouette store (design ID19372) and some ocean inspired colored cardstock… the stripes are ca. 1/4″

the cute ‚curious octopi‚ Die is also available in the ARenke Store, i heat embossed them with a WOW! powder, called ‚Hero‚ (it was included in the KreativBox) the background was created with some magical powders ‚whale watch blue‚ and ‚shabby turbine teal

the word ‚hallo‚ is also a Renke Die, i love that font! i mixed a german and a english word, but i am fine with that. the little enamel dots are just a touch of the same color as the octopi… i thought that would connect everything together…

i used the same patterned paper (title) behind my picture, but also added some tissue paper. I really LOVE how this one turned out, please check out my YouTube Channel if you want to watch the process video! thanks!

heart art | paige evans

Hi everyone,  I have a new layout to share with you. For this project I decided to make something special and as soon as I saw the new Heart Swirls cut file I knew exactly what I wanted to create. I used items from Whimsical & Horizon, and navy foam Mini Thickers from the Pick-Me-Up collection.

I started with the Heart Swirls cut file – I re-sized the file a bit and cut it out from white cardstock. Then I grabbed some colored cardstock in two pink tones, light purple, light and dark blue. I made a lot of ¼“ strips out of them. My idea was to glue them onto the swirls. I wanted to have a lot of dimension and I really love how it turned out!

This took me some hours, but it was totally worth the time and effort. I only added some matching watercolor splatters over the finished design and the white background paper. I started to look through all of the chipboard stickers and die cuts I have from Paige’s collections and I grabbed some crafty Whimsical Chipboard Stickers, a beautiful Chipboard Sticker bird from Horizon, and a chipboard word sticker from Oh My Heart.

I placed Paper 03 behind my photo, distressed the edges, and glued it down with hot glue. All of the stickers were placed around the photo. I tried to stay in the same colors but also added some new colors to the mix. I glued everything down with hot glue because of the thin paper swirls underneath. The final touches were some fussy cut flowers from the Whimsical 12×12 Paper Pad, a flower from Horizon Paper 02, and some mini Thickers from Whimsical and Pick-Me-Up. I also ripped the background paper on two edges and placed Horizon Paper 16 and Paper 16 from Whimsical behind the open spots.

I really love how this layout turned out and I really hope you like it too!

happy adventure | paige evans

Hi everyone, I have a new layout for you. For this page I used three different Cut Files from Paige Evans, one of the new „rolled Flowers“, some layered Flowers (1 with leaves & 2) and a and “Flower Bunch” some mixed with bits from the new Horizon line and the Whimsical Collection.

I started with making the cut files much smaller and then I had a look into all of the Whimsical Papers, I knew I wanted to have my flowers all in blue/purple and pink. I grabbed Paper No.2, No.4, No.5, No.6, No.9, No.14 and Paper No.16 and placed them on my cutting mat. I used a different color for each layer of the flowers. The Flower Bunch was cut out from white cardstock. I used hot glue for the flower layers, it´s giving some dimension and it is very easy to use.

I placed the white flower cut on my white background and decided to go very clean and simple today. The rolled and layered flowers were placed on top of the white flowers; I added some matching thread behind them, just for some color details and texture. I added some blue leaves from the Mixed Floral Pack to the layered flowers, a pink Tag from the Ephemera Die Cuts and a piece patterned paper (No.5) were placed behind the photo and some Chipboard Sticker Hearts were scattered around the layout.

The title was created with a Chipboard Sticker from the Whimsical Collection and one from the Horizon Collection. There colors are perfectly matching. I placed some butterflies, from the Stickers, around the flowers and the final touches were some matching Enamel Dots, one Whimsical Puffy Sticker  and a little bit of journaling. This Layout came together pretty quickly and I really love how it turned out.

I hope you´re inspired to mix and match some cut files on your next project. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting
